Higher Standards for Safer Water

Health care professionals recommend that the average person drink at least 8 - eight ounce servings of water every day.  Just like choosing the foods you eat, the quality of the water you drink is a very personal choice.  At innowave, their mission is to provide you with the best water quality education, which will enable you to make the decision that is right for your water situation.

Four Groups of Contaminants

Over 2,100 contaminants have been identified as potential threats to the drinking water supply.  They fall into four groups: Organic, Inorganic, Biological and Radioactive.

bulletBiological - Bacteria, viruses and parasites including E. coli, Cryptosporidium, Salmonella and Giardia Cysts.
bulletOrganic - Synthetic organic chemicals such as insecticides, pesticides, herbicides and industrial solvents.
bulletInorganic - Chemicals, mineral and metals including chlorine, asbestos, mercury, arsenic, nitrates, copper and lead.
bulletRadioactive - Plutonium, radium and radon.

Millions of North Americans may be drinking water that contains some of these contaminants - the American Journal of Public Health states that 35% of gastrointestinal illness is waterborne and preventable.

In the natural world, water is purified in a hydrological cycle that evaporates, condenses and restores clean water.  However, nature cannot keep up with a growing population that demands a larger, clean drinking water supply.  Increasingly, we must rely on technology for safe drinking water.

Bottleless Technology with a Distinct Difference

All innowave® systems completely eliminate the need for bottles by treating water at the point of use.  Besides the hassles of lifting and storing heavy bottles, you could be drinking - and paying - for nothing more than ordinary tap water.  According to the International Bottled Water Association, 25% of bottled water originates from municipal water supplies.  Plus, since all innowave systems treat water on-site, there are no additional pipes or plumbing for water to run through and therefore no risk of recontamination.

innowave® engineers have developed drinking water systems that use the best technologies to improve the quality of drinking water.  By combining multiple treatment methods, innowave's unique IDF and uvf technologies are highly effective in reducing a wide range of contaminants.  The innowave Chiller uses filtration and an optional UV light to address various drinking water concerns.  innowave® systems are designed to perform at their optimal level over time for consistently great drinking water.

Tested and Certified Systems

When choosing a drinking water system, it's important to know that the product does everything it claims to do.  innowave® systems have been extensively tested and certified to assure you that each system meets the highest industry standards and will always perform as claimed.  The Water Quality Association (WQA), NSF, UL and the University of Arizona are among the independent laboratories that have subjected innowave systems to rounds of rigorous testing.

Testing and certification for point-of-use water treatment systems is not yet required in the industry.  It is strictly voluntary for a manufacturer to subject its systems to the scrutiny of the various independent-testing organizations.  As an informed consumer, be sure to ask for documented performance verification for any water treatment system you are considering.

Evaluation for Removing Contaminants from Drinking Water

The innowave® 240 was tested to determine 3 key parameters:

bulletEffectiveness of chemical reduction
bulletContaminant extractability
bulletEstablish flow rate capability

Each test was conducted using ANSI / NSF Standard 62 protocol and the analysis of contaminants were performed using US EPA methods.  Broward Lab concluded that the innowave 240 removes in excess of 99% of all contaminants, effectively reduces chemicals, and the system effectively extracts contaminants.
